Work values and motivation of generation Y and Z

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of work values and motivations of Generations Z and Y in the Czech Republic. As Generation Z enters the job market, researching their values and motivations becomes increasingly relevant. A good understanding of generational values helps create a work environment suitable for optimizing performance and satisfaction. This work builds upon foreign research of generations and seeks to explore this topic further within the Czech population. In the first part, the thesis is grounded in theory. Both generations are described, including their characteristics and differences on a general level, as well as already researched work value characteristics. The thesis is also anchored in the study of values, and three dimensions are conceptualized, forming the basis for subsequent analysis: internal, external, and socio-relational values. Data from ISSP modules Work orientations III and IV from 2005 and 2015 are utilized for the analysis. The analysis in the IBM SPSS program is based on crosstabs tables supplemented with the Chi-square test. The Value Orientation in the life and work of nurses

Bachelor thesis titled "The Value Orientation in the life and work of nurses" is focused on exploration in the values of nurses working at the University Hospital Motol. The theoretical part of the paper gives a brief outline of the life values, issues of general value orientation and characteristics of individual groups of values. In the empirical part data were collected through a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire contained questions relating to the issue or determining the preference of selected environmental values in relation to age, length of practice and education of nurses.

FEDOROVÁ, B. Working values of FBE Mendel students. Diploma thesis. Brno: Men-del University, 2019. The diploma thesis deals with the issue of working values of students of the Faculty of Business and Economics of Mendel University in Brno. The main aim is to propose recommendations for employers, based on the mapping of the work values of the 1st year of bachelor’s degree and the 2nd year of master’s degree. The work deals with the identification of the values according to the concept of S. H. Schwartz using the PVQ method and the analysis of other factors. A questionnaire survey (n = 256) was used to obtain important information. On the basis of the research, it was found that students correspond to the assumptions of the young ge-neration. It means that they like to enjoy life, are independent in their actions, and the prosperity of others is important to them. At the same time, work is becoming increasingly important to them during university studies.

Job value preferences of students

The thesis deals with value preferences of students regarding their future employment. It focuses on job values, achievement motivation and motivation to work, as well as self -- esteem and financial crisis and its impacts on the Czech Republic. The thesis also includes the results of an empirical research, which I made among students of University of Economics in Prague. The research is focused on job values of students and their personality characteristics (achievement motivation and self -- esteem) that influence the formation of job values. The research also reflects the students' opinions on financial crises and its impact on their future job and career.
